Analisis Edukasi Kesehatan Melalui Media Sosial terhadap Pengetahuan Ibu Gen Z tentang Imunisasi Dasar Lengkap di Posyandu Cempaka Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Medan Johor

Abstract

Complete basic immunization is an important effort in preventing preventable diseases in infants and toddlers. However, the use of social media as a source of health information is not necessarily followed by a good understanding by Gen Z mothers. This study aims to analyze health education through social media on Gen Z mothers' knowledge about complete basic immunization at the Cempaka Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) in the Medan Johor Community Health Center (Puskesmas). The study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research informants consisted of three Gen Z mothers, two Posyandu cadres, one immunization officer, and one head of the community health center selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model through data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that social media is an easily accessible source of information and helps improve Gen Z mothers' knowledge about the benefits, schedule, and importance of complete basic immunization. However, obstacles were still found in the form of inaccurate information and differences in levels of understanding between mothers. Health education through social media contributes positively to increasing knowledge and encouraging mothers' compliance in following child immunizations at Posyandu. It is recommended that healthcare professionals continue to optimize the use of social media as a trusted and easily understood means of health education for the public.
